CHP Dispatch Center in Eagle Rock Evacuated Over ‘Suspicion Call'

A California Highway Patrol dispatch center in Eagle Rock was evacuated Tuesday after it received a "suspicious call," but operations were not expected to be affected, an agency spokesman said.

CHP Officer Robert Manzano said the specifics of the call were unclear, but it led to an evacuation of the CHP Los Angeles Communications Center at 2901 W. Broadway at 3:20 p.m.

"There's not going to be any delay in our dispatch times, as all incoming calls are being routed to surrounding CHP communication centers," said Officer Kevin Tao, a spokesman with the CHP Southern Division.

The evacuation included Caltrans employees who also have offices in the building.
