Where, How to Cast Early Ballots in Los Angeles County

Early voters can cast their ballots every day, including weekends, between now and Election Day on Nov. 6.

Voters in Los Angeles don’t have to wait ‘til Nov. 6 to cast their ballots in person.

The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) headquarters has extended its hours and will be open on weekends through Election Day to accommodate early voters.

"Voters in LA County lead busy lives and are often on the go, in-person early voting is yet another option [in addition to voting by mail] for voters to participate in the upcoming Presidential Election," said Dean Logan, LA County RR/CC.

Registered voters can visit the third floor of the RR/CC Headquarters located at 12400 Imperial Hwy., Norwalk to cast their ballots.

In-person early voting is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and additional weekend hours are available as well:

Saturday Oct. 27, 2012: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday Oct. 28, 2012: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday Nov. 3, 2012: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday Nov. 4, 2012: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday Nov. 6, 2012 (Election Day): 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voters may also vote early by requesting a Vote by Mail ballot. The last day to request a Vote by Mail ballot is Oct. 30, 2012.

The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 6 General Election was Oct. 22.
Californians were allowed to register to vote online for the first time this year. The new registration record contributed to a 25 percent increase in registered voters in LA County, according to the RR/CC.
