    Riverside Police Wednesday night released an artist's sketch of a man wanted for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a young girl walking home from school.

    Riverside Police Wednesday night released an artist's sketch of a man wanted for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a young girl walking home from school.

    "On Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at approximately 1720 hours, officers from the Riverside Police Department were dispatched to a reported kidnapping and sexual assault."

    A police statement noted the victim was "a female juvenile who was leaving an after school function in the La Sierra area when she was approached by a white male adult. The suspect was driving a vehicle resembling a mid 80’s 4-door Toyota sedan, red in color with faded or discolored areas on the body.  The vehicle also had tinted windows and was in a very used condition.   

    "The victim was forced into the suspect vehicle and was driven to another location in the area where she was sexually assaulted.  The suspect is further described as being mid-20’s to mid-30’s in age, having a thin build, blond hair, few days growth of facial hair, and wearing a dark blue ball cap.  The suspect also has a prominent tattoo on his right forearm, bearing an unknown design with unknown lettering.

     "The Investigations Bureau is seeking assistance from the public in identifying this suspect and is pursuing all leads at this time.  Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Detective Laura Riso at (951) 353-7126, or Detective Linda Byerly at (951) 353-7120."
