Two people were hurt after a suspected DUI driver ploughed into several cars in Rancho Cucamonga while fleeing from police.
Five innocent vehicles were hit in the high-speed crash at the intersection of Foothill Blvd and Hermosa Avenue just after 3 p.m, authorities said.
It ended a dangerous pursuit which started just six minutes earlier when Timothy Converse allegedly refused to pull over for police in Ontario over an alleged vehicle violation. At one point he is said to have driven on the wrong side of the road in an attempt to evade law enforcement.
Jose Hernandez saw the 32-year-old Converse's car smash into another vehicle on his security system.
"The guy was going very fast… he impacted the car, t-boned them and sent them flying," Hernandez said.
Jamal Heckstall's mother and son were in a Nissan Pathfinder that was also hit in the crash
"She didn't hear the sirens, she heard the helicopters, so she looked up," Moreno Valley resident Heckstall said. "Then she looked down, she heard a big old boom and then seen a white car fly in front of her."

Two drivers were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, while Converse was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
An Ontario Police Department spokesman said drug paraphernalia was found inside Converse's vehicle, while he is also said to have shown signs ofbeing under the influence of drugs.
After medical clearance he will be booked at the West Valley Detention in Rancho Cucamonga for felony evading and driving under the influence of drugs, causing bodily harm.
