The Los Angeles Kings will conduct a sports and entertainment career fair and workshop at Staples Center Wednesday before a game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
The career fair will begin at 3 p.m. with the first of two half-hour workshops intended to improve resume-writing and interviewing skills and help job-seekers find work in the sports or entertainment industries; the second will start at 3:45 p.m.
A speakers panel will be held from 4:30-5:30 p.m, and the career fair will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Participating companies include CBS, MTV Networks, Universal Music Group, KTLA-TV Channel 5; AEG, the sports and entertainment presenters who own the Kings; the Los Angeles Galaxy, Los Angeles Clippers and the High Desert Mavericks and Rancho Cucamonga Quakes minor league baseball teams.
Registration is $30, which includes a ticket to the hockey game.
