Two men were in custody Monday on suspicion of following casino winners home and robbing them at gunpoint.
Jonathan Atkins, 21, and Raymond Little, 18, were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery about 1 a.m. Saturday at a gas station at Western and Fountain avenues in Hollywood, said Orange County sheriff's Lt. Mike Jansen.
Both were being held on $100,000 bail and due in court Tuesday at the Harbor Justice Center in Santa Ana, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department Web site.
The Orange County Sheriff's Department planned to hold a news conference Monday to release more details about the men. A U.S. Justice Department official was scheduled to attend.
The two were wanted in connection with a recent follow-home robbery in Orange County and are believed to have committed similar crimes in Los Angeles County, authorities said.
Atkins and Little allegedly followed a man from the Commerce Casino to his Lake Forest home and robbed him at gunpoint, Jansen said.
Video of Saturday's arrest in Hollywood showed a large number of Los Angeles police and Orange County sheriff's deputies swarming two men in a car with North Carolina license plates.
