Armed Robbers Caught on Camera in 2 Hemet Robberies

A $2,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the robbers.

A Hemet business owner is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of three men wanted in connection with two armed robberies in Hemet earlier this month.

During the first robbery, two men entered Crown Gold Exchange located at 326 S. Sanderson Ave. in Hemet around 10:20 a.m. on October, 14, Hemet police said.

Surveillance video of the robbery shows two men wearing sunglasses walk into the business where a woman, who appears to be an employee, greets them and says "hi." As they walk toward her and a patron, they respond and seem like they are going to ask her a question.

When they reach a desk where they are sitting, both men pull out guns and point them at the women who scream out, the video shows.

After one man tells the employee to go to the back of the store, she and another man wearing a teal sweatshirt walk away and disappear from view while the other man stays at the desk and stands over the patron.

Eventually, the man wearing a teal sweatshirt reappears holding what appears to be a filled white trash bag before both men leave the business.

The following day on October 15, officers responded toa business called Check 'n Go located at 3671 W. Florida Ave., where three armed men had robbed an employee, Hemet police said in a statement. The men got away with cash and personal property.

Investigators obtained surveillance images of the men from the second robbery, and believe both robberies were committed by the same men.

The owner of Crown Gold Exchange is offering a $2,000 reward for anyone with "information that leads to the arrest and conviction" of the robbers, according to the Hemet Police Department.

Anyone with information about the robberies was urged to call Investigator Jessica Tuttle at 951-765-2422.
