Caught on Camera: Robber May Have Hit Four Convenience Stores in Under an Hour

The suspect has been described as a white or Hispanic male in his 20's, 5'6" with a thin build, who was last seen wearing a sweatshirt with the word "Obey" on the front.

Police are searching for the man who robbed a 7-Eleven store in Chino early Friday morning and who they suspect may have robbed three other convenience stores during the same hour.

Store surveillance cameras captured video of the man wielding a knife and grabbing the cash drawer behind the counter at the 7-Eleven at 12345 Mountain Ave. just before 4 a.m.

Police are also looking to question the man in connection with robberies at a 7-Eleven located at 4500 Holt Ave. in Montclair, a 7-Eleven located at 2563 S. Euclid Ave and a Shell gas station located at 2215 S. Archibald Ave. in Ontario.

They believe the man may be responsible for all four robberies that occurred between 3:50 a.m. and 4:42 a.m. Friday morning.

"They’re pretty close to each other. I’d say probably 10 minutes within for each location," Chino spokesperson Michelle Van Der Linden said.

The convenience stores were all located in close proximity to the 60 Freeway.

The owner of the 7-Eleven in Chino has posted pictures on the store windows as a reminder to patrons that everything inside the store is being recorded.

"It does not surprise me, no it does not," 7-Eleven customer Carlos Venegas said. "Probably 'cause they know the area already."

The subject has been described as a white or Latino male in his 20's, 5'6" with a thin build, who was last seen wearing a sweatshirt with the word "Obey" on the front.

"He's got very dark, short hair and he was described as having some cuts on his face under his eye and also on his hand," Van Der Linden said.
