Lanes Reopened After Cement Truck Overturns on 5 Freeway in Glendale Area

All lanes of traffic on the on the 5 Freeway in the Glendale area were reopened after a cement mixing truck overturned Monday morning, officials said.

The collision was reported just before 8 a.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway near Colorado Boulevard.

The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to a preliminary report from the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Lanes were reopened before 11 a.m.

The onramp was shut down on the 5 Freeway at Colorado, according to the California Highway Patrol Incident Page.

Traffic appeared to be backed up to Sunland Boulevard, according to the Calatrans Quickmap page. Aerial footage showed only one lane of trafic open as emergency personnel investigated the crash.
