The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department provided this image of items seized after a search warrant was served at a Lancaster home.
Police found methamphetamine, a handgun and a couple's 1-year-old child when they served a search warrant at a home near an Antelope Valley elementary school.
The residence is just north of the Joshua Elementary School in the western Mojave Desert community of Lancaster. After what the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department described as a "lengthy investigation," deputies searched the home and seized the drugs and gun, $500 in cash and the suspects' vehicle.
The suspect and his girlfriend were arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sales and other felony charges, including child endangerment. The child was taken into protective custody.
Both suspects are being held on $100,000 bail.
