A young boy and a teen-aged girl were stabbed late Friday in Azusa, police said.

A man was taken into custody after the attack, though police would not say what his relationship is to the children or release his name. Authorities said he may have been under the influence at the time.

The attack happened at a home in the 17800 block of Laxford Road. A woman was seen leaving the house carrying a young child.

Neighbors told NBC4 News that the victims are siblings, and the girl may have been stabbed in the "lower waist area." They also speculated that the victims’ mother’s boyfriend may have been involved in the attack.
