IE Brush Fire 100 Percent Contained, Burned Over 1,000 Acres Near Chino: Cal Fire

A wildfire that's burned more than 1,000 acres of the Inland Empire for almost a week is finally completely contained, state fire officials said Friday.

Sparked near Chino on Saturday, April 18, the brush fire was 100 percent contained as of Friday morning, Cal Fire officials said in a tweet. The fire had been 85 percent contained by Wednesday.

It was set off by an unattended cooking fire, fire officials said. The smoky blaze reached across 1,049 acres.
