A former Chino Hills High School science teacher caught climbing a ladder to a teenager's bedroom has pleaded guilty to having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.
John Ralph Hirsch, 41, pleaded guilty to two felonies -- unlawful sexual intercourse and committing a lewd act on a child, prosecutors said.
One of the girl's neighbors saw Hirsch climbing a ladder up to the girl's second-floor bedroom window last June and confronted him, prosecutors said. Posted $150,000 bail to remain free until his March 4 guilty pleas.
Their relationship reportedly lasted for more than nine months, according to the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, until his arrest in June. He resigned as a teacher by October, when he was charged with six felonies and a misdemeanor.
Hirsch will be sentenced at the Chino Superior Court on April 6 to a year in jail, three years on probation and will be ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
