Hollywood stars and coaches at USC and UCLA are among 13 people with LA ties arrested in a sweeping college entrance exam plot that sought to place students at prestigious universities as recruited athletes -- regardless of their athletic ability.

Thirteen people with ties to Los Angeles, including UCLA and USC, were among more than 50 people charged Tuesday in a sweeping college entrance exam scheme investigation called Operation Varsity Blues. Here are some of the defendants with LA ties.

Murder Charge Filed in the Death of 9-Year-Old Trinty Love Jones

A convicted child abuser faces a murder charge in the death of a 9-year-old girl whose body was found in a duffel bag on a trail east of Los Angeles.
