Composite Sketch Released in Teen Rape Case

Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives Tuesday released a composite sketch of one of three men wanted in connection with the kidnapping and rape of a 15-year-old girl.

The attack took place about 6:30 p.m. Friday in the unincorporated community of Bassett, near La Puente. The victim was walking on Van Wig Avenue near Temple Avenue when a car stopped in front of her with three men inside.

The men pulled her into the car, where she was sexually assaulted before being released. They threatened to hurt her if she told anyone about the assault, sheriff's investigators said.

The man in the sketch was described as being in his mid 20s, about 5-foot-9-inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was bald with a circular-shaped tattoo on the right side of his neck.

The other man also appeared to be in his mid 20s. He was 6-feet tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with a buzz haircut. There was no description for the third man.

The car may be a black 1990s four-door Honda Civic with a possible partial license plate starting with 2WE. It has tinted windows and a leather interior.

Anyone with information was asked to call the Special Victims Bureau at 877-710-5273.
