Woman Recounts Being Sexually Assaulted

A man broke into a woman's home on Monterey Road in South Pasadena and sexually assaulted her, police say

The 18-year-old woman who said she was sexually assaulted by a man who broke into her South Pasadena home recounted her story to NBCLA on Saturday.

The woman was attacked just before 3 a.m. on Wednesday in her Monterey Road home by a man who used a knife to cut through her bedroom window screen.

"He was trying to take my clothes off and I was really confused and shocked,” the woman told KNBCLA. “I got my clothes back up and kept holding it really tight so he couldn't do anything.”

“When I started screaming he took my head to the other side of the bed and was shaking me, pulling my hair, and I couldn't breathe."

The woman's father heard the screams and burst into the room.

He managed to chase the attacker away even though the suspect was threatening both of them with a knife.

It was then the woman saw that the suspect cut through her window screen to get in. She believes the window was slightly open. She says the attack has made her constantly fearful.
