    A man was shot and killed by a Corona police officer early Saturday in a shootout following a high-speed chase that ended in Norco.

    At least two people were in the car during the chase, which began as officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call around 2:30 a.m. in Corona.

    The driver of a white sedan led officers to Norco before crashing near the intersection of Parkridge Avenue and First Street.

    That's when the shootout began, and one of the men was killed. The other ran away, but was later arrested by police.
