Corona Soldier Badly Beaten Outside Bar

Corporal Korry McClanahan, 25, of Corona, is in intensive care following an attack during Memorial Day weekend outside a Washington bar.

An American soldier had to have part of his skull removed after being badly beaten by a group so badly that his brain was swollen, family members said.

Corporal Korry McClanahan, 25, of Corona, is in intensive care following an attack during Memorial Day weekend outside a Washington bar.

Witnesses told police that a group of people jumped the soldier. McClanahan was in Ft. Lewis for about three weeks before the beating. He was stationed at Ft. Hood before.

McClanahan graduated from Buena Vista High School in 2008.
