A 3-year-old girl was attacked by a coyote on Friday night at a park in Irvine, police said.
The girl was attacked at Silverado Park about 6 p.m. while playing with another child. The mother was nearby at the time, said Farrah Emami, of the Irvine Police Department.
The girl suffered superficial injuries and was treated and released from a hospital.
