Cracker Barrel to Open in Rialto in 2019

A late-August groundbreaking ceremony is next up for the popular home-cooking restaurant chain.

What to Know

  • 1080 W. Renaissance Parkway, Rialto
  • April 2019 projected opening
  • Will hold up to 180 guests

So you've been stopping at the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Victorville, the one that opened to much fanfare in February 2018, on your way to Las Vegas?

You've been ordering the Country Fried Shrimp you adore, or the Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake, or both, before you head back out onto the highway?

Fortification, then the 15?

You're not alone, and you're not alone in wishing that another Cracker Barrel might pop up near another major Southern California thoroughfare, say, like the 210 Freeway.

Be gladdened, for beginning at some point in April 2019, you shall have your hearty grits and big breakfasts and gooey desserts in Rialto, which will be home to the newest California Cracker Barrel.

The Tennessee-headquartered company revealed that it would break ground on the new building, which is expected to be over 10,000 square feet, on Thursday, Aug. 23.

So how many people will be able to dine in such a capacious space? The new Cracker Barrel will seat 180 guests at a time, reveals the company.

So how many new hires will the soon-to-come location make? Cracker Barrel will look locally for "over 175 full- and part-time employees."

So where else, beyond Victorville and the future location in Rialto, are there California Cracker Barrels? If you said "Sacramento" you're correct, and if you also happened to know that Santa Maria is getting one, too, you'd be correct again.

Best watch the company's web site for more information on the Rialto restaurant's opening date, hiring plans, and all you need to know about that springtime debut.

Thick slices of cake and rib-sticking entrees are less than a year away 1080 W. Renaissance Parkway, just off the 210 and not all that far, all told, from the 10 Freeway.
