A two-vehicle crash that reportedly injured several people shut down all lanes of the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway, just south of the Santa Monica (10) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles early Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

An unknown number of people were injured in the accident. The victims were treated at the scene and then transported to California Hospital. Their current conditions were unknown, said Los Angeles Fire Capt. Rick McClure.

The collision between the minivan and an SUV was reported about 4:20 a.m. All lanes on the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway, just south of the Santa Monica (10) Freeway, were shut down about 15 minutes later and a SigAlert was declared, according to the CHP.

NBC4 News reported that a possible fuel spill had also occurred during the accident and sand was being spread on the freeway lanes to clean up the spilled fuel.
