Investigators said the driver involved in the crash was arrested on suspicion of murder, hit-and-run and DUI.
A 20-year-old Canyon Country man was arrested in connection with a crash that killed a cyclist and injured two others.
Investigators identified the deceased as 43-year-old Joseph Novotny, of Stevenson Ranch. Novotny was on Bouquet Canyon Road Sunday with members of the Santa Clarita Velo Club, a CHP officer told the LA Times.
They were struck by a pickup at about 11 a.m., investigators said.
Marco Valencia was arrested on suspicion or murder, hit-and-run and driving under the influence, according to the Times. The newspaper reported tha Valencia's bond was set at $1.1 million.
The two other cyclists were hospitalized. Information regarding their conditions was not immediately available.
