Utility crews Sunday began repairing two water main breaks that were effecting several customers in the Los Angeles area, an official said.
Crews were able to restore service following one break about 9:30 a.m. which effected a housing project in the 4000 block of East Victorine Street in Montecito Heights, said Kim Hughes of the Department of Water and Power.
Crews will still working on a second break to a 6-inch water main at Santa Monica Boulevard and Wilcox Avenue, Hughes said. The break occurred at 3:40 a.m. Sunday.
The cause of the breaks will be investigated as soon as service is restored, according to Hughes.
