Both sides of Pacific Coast Highway in Dana Point were closed Friday morning after a rock slide that sent a large boulder and other debris onto the highway.

The slide, reported at 4 a.m., occurred near the intersection with Beach Road (map). Work crews with a front-end loader removed the dirt and rocks to reopen the road late Friday morning.
