The body of man found in a car that was about the be towed in Santa Clarita Sunday was inside the trunk, homicide detectives have confirmed.
The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Jose David Flores. He was found when a deputy on patrol spotted a blue Honda Accord illegally parked at Golden Valley Road and Robert C. Lee Parkway in Canyon Country, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman said.
Intending to have the car towed, the deputy began searching the car for inventory when he discovered the body.
Detectives have released a photo of the victim in the hope someone will recognize the man.
