Deadly Shooting in Santa Ana

Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead early Friday morning in Santa Ana.

The shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m. Friday on the 1400 block of South Standard Ave, according to Santa Ana Police.

Santa Ana Police say the received a tip about a body lying in a back alley.

Police say the victim was in his 20s.

The area is known to be crime-ridden, as police say gang shootings are known to occur in the area.

Santa Ana police could not confirm whether this was a gang shooting. They have no suspects or motives for the shooting so far.
