The decision to auction off the Dodgers in bankruptcy court is welcome by most fans. Some fans even know exactly what they're looking for
Roger Arrieta has a definite idea of who he wants in the owner's box at Dodger Stadium. That would be Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
Arrieta even started the a web site to make his case.
"He's a billionaire," says Arrieta. "He's got what it takes to do it. He's transformed the Mavericks into a winning team."
But whether it's Cuban or another wealthy sportsman or woman, Arrieta and other fans know what they want from the next team owner.
"We need to restore them back to what the Dodgers were," says Arrieta. "When I was growing up in the 1980s, we won the 1981 and 1988 championship, just that tradition of what the Dodgers have always been."
Joshua Hernandez was mingling with other fans Wednesday at Big Wangs restaurant. He has watched as millions in team money seemed to flow into the divorce case between Frank and Jamie McCourt. Now he says he wants his team back. And safety is also a concern.
"Especially when certain teams came, like the Giants," said Hernandez.
Improvements for the aging stadium are also on his list. It's the third oldest stadium in the league. So, maybe ticket prices should come down, too.
"Everybody loves L.A., so it's just about getting the fans back in and getting the team rolling again," said frustrated fan Nicole Navarro.
