Dodgers Welcome New Players During 10-Game Homestand With Padres, Cardinals and Diamondbacks

The Los Angeles Dodgers will welcome their newest additions during their 10-game homestand with the San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals, and Arizona Diamondbacks.

The team with the best record in baseball returns to the friendly confines of Chavez Ravine on Thursday after a winning road trip to Washington D.C. and Denver.

The first-place Los Angeles Dodgers will return to Dodger Stadium to host the San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals, and Arizona Diamondbacks during a 10-game homestand to open the month of August.

The Dodgers will have two new additions to the roster when fans see them at Dodger Stadium over the next ten days.

Jedd Gyorko and Adam Kolarek were both acquired at the MLB Trade Deadline on Wednesday. Kolarek, a left-handed reliever who is lights out against left-handed hitters was added to the 25-man roster ahead of the Padres series on Thursday.

Gyorko is currently on the 60-day injured list, but Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts said that he should begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Tulsa later this week and could be back with the team by the end of the month.

There's just 50 games remaining in the season, so come out to the Ravine this weekend and next week to catch all the action.

Thursday, August 1, 7:10 p.m. vs. Padres

Thursday's opener is also "Kershaw Day," as All-Star Clayton Kershaw takes the mound opposite Padres left-hander Joey Lucchesi. It's also Korea Night, and all fans who purchase special event tickets from the Dodgers website will receive a special Dodger-Korea themed hat.

Friday, August 2, 7:10 p.m. vs. Padres

Friday's matchup is certain to be a special one for fan's as the Dodgers will get a glimpse into the future, as right-hander Dustin May will make his Major League debut opposite left-hander Eric Lauer for San Diego.

It's also Hawaiian Night at the Ravine, and fans who purchase special event tickets from the Dodgers website will receive a special Hawaiian themed Dodger hat. After the game, be sure to stay in your seats for Friday Night Fireworks accompanied country music provided by DJ Severe.

Saturday, August 3, 6:10 p.m. vs. Padres

Walker Buehler is expected to toe the rubber for the Boys in Blue on Saturday. The first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance will receive a free pair of Dodgers socks presented by Spectrum.

Saturday is also University of La Verne Night at the Stadium, and fans who purchase special event tickets from the Dodgers website can receive a limited edition University of La Verne Dodgers hat.

Sunday, August 4, 1:10 p.m. vs. Padres

Kenta Maeda is expected to head to the mound on Sunday afternoon for the finale of the four-game series with the San Diego Padres. After the game, kids will be allowed on the field to run the bases.

Monday, August 5, 7:10PM vs. Cardinals

The Dodgers welcome another first-place team on Monday when the NL Central-leading St. Louis Cardinals come to town. The first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance will receive a Kenley Jansen Bobblehead presented by State Farm. Fans are also encouraged to arrive early for a pregame ceremony honoring Manny Mota.

Tuesday, August 6, 7:10PM vs. Cardinals

Go Kings Go! Tuesday night's game is Los Angeles Kings night at the Ravine, and fans who purchase special event tickets at Dodgers.com/Kings, will receive a special Dodgers-Kings jersey, and have a pregame photo opportunity with Kings players and Hall of Fame announcer Bob Miller in the Right Field Plaza.

Kings players Trevor Lewis, Tyler Toffoli, Paul LaDue, and Daniel Brickley will all throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the two-time Stanley Cup Champions.

Wednesday, August 7, 12:10PM vs. Cardinals

Wednesday's game is a "Businessperson's Special," as tickets can be purchased as low as $14 for the rare mid-week matinee.

Friday, August 9, 7:10PM vs. Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks will return to Dodger Stadium on Friday a little weakened after the departure of star pitcher Zack Greinke to the Houston Astros. The Dodgers will be celebrating Healthcare Appreciation Night, and fans can purchase special event tickets from the Dodgers website and will receive a Healthcare Appreciation Night coffee mug.

After the game, stay in your seats for Friday Night Fireworks set to the music of the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock festival.

Saturday, August 10, 6:10PM vs. Diamondbacks

The first 40,000 fans in attendance will receive a baseball card giveaway on Saturday, which coincides with Scouts Night at the Stadium. Fans who purchase their tickets special event tickets from the Dodgers website can receive a limited edition scouting patch.

Sunday August 11, 1:10PM vs. Diamondbacks

The finale of the 10-game homestand features a kids backpack giveaway presented by Spectrum. The first 12,000 ticketed kids will receive a Dodgers backpack and can run the bases after the game.
