For the eighth year in a row, some 600 families selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers and local groups will get a full Thanksgiving dinner.

On Tuesday evening outside Dodger Stadium, the team will give away turkey dinners with all the fixin's.

Dodger infielder Luis Cruz, pictured below, along and alumni "Sweet" Lou Johnson, Bobby Castillo and Paul Lo Duca will be on hand to help pass out the holiday goods to 600 needy families that were selected by community groups.

Los Angeles City Council members Ed Reyes and Eric Garcetti and state Sens. Kevin De León and Carol Liu will also be at the event, giving away food baskets.

The turkey giveaway is a partnership of the Dodgers, elected officials, Ralphs, Food 4 Less, the Greater Echo Park Elysian Neighborhood Council, the Echo Park Improvement Association and the Citizens Committee to Save Elysian Park.
