Rescue crews hoisted the victim to safety after a 300-foot drop off the mountain road

A driver was in critical condition Thursday morning after a single-vehicle crash off Glendora Ridge Mountainway in the Angeles National Forest north of Glendora.

Rescuers lowered a paramedic to the victim, who was ejected from the vehicle after a 300-foot drop off the moutain road. The victim was hoisted to the road and airlifted to a hospital.

The crash occurred at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday.
