The Los Angeles Police Department called off a pursuit Saturday evening in the Downey area for unknown reasons.
The driver of a silver SUV was wanted for reckless driving, police said.
They were in contact with the suspect's mother during the pursuit and said they know where he lives.
No further information was available.
