3.3 Earthquake Hits Riverside County

A magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck in Riverside County just before 7 p.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake struck in the Cabazon area, between Palm Springs and Riverside (map). No damage or injuries were reported.

About an hour after the quake, 15 people had reported having felt the quake to the U.S. Geological Survey, mostly in Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs.
