Magnitude-2.5 Quake Shakes Parts of Orange County

A magnitude-2.5 earthquake was reported Monday morning in Orange County.

The small quake occurred at about 9 a.m. just north of Brea. There were no immediate reports of damage after the earthquake, initially reported with a magnitude of 2.6.

Weak to light shaking was reported in Brea, Anaheim, Fullerton, La Habra and Yorba Linda. The region is the same area rattled by a magnitude-5.1 quake in March.

Residents were displaced and some structures were damaged in that quake, felt as far away as Kern and San Diego counties.
