A magnitude-2.4 earthquake was reported Tuesday morning near the Southern California coast.
The small quake occurred at 8:27 a.m. about one mile southeast of Palos Verdes Estates. Shaking was reported in Rancho Palos Verdes, Torrance and Hawthorne, according to the USGS web site.
There were no reports of significant damage.
