Earthquake Shakes Banning Area

A 3.5-magnitude earthquake shook the Banning area Sunday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor hit at around 6:53 a.m. at a depth of about 8.6 miles, the USGS reported.

People in Beaumont, Yucaipa, Forest Falls and other surrounding areas also reported feeling the earthquake to the U.S. Geological Survey.
