Magnitude-3.5 Quake Reported in Mountains Northeast of LA

Weak to light shaking was reported in San Bernardino and Riverside counties

A magnitude-3.5 earthquake was reported Friday morning near the San Bernardino County mountain community of Wrightwood.

There have been no reports of damage after the quake, located about 75 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. The earthquake was reported at 6:35 a.m.

Weak to light shaking was reported in the desert communities of Hesperia and Victorville. Weak shaking also was reported in the San Bernardino and Ontario areas, according to the USGS.

The quake, at a depth of 7 miles, was followed by several more tiny tremors just over magnitude 1.
