The recommended mailing date for First-Class Mail is Monday, Dec. 21, to ensure national delivery by Christmas.

Priority Mail shipments should also be mailed on or before Dec. 21 for Christmas delivery. Even after that date procrastinators may still be able to have gifts delivered by Christmas with Express Mail.

You can also save time this season and skip the trip to the Post Office by going online to usps.com. You can print shipping labels, download postage for packages and schedule a free package pick up. You can also buy holiday stamps and even have your mail held if you travel this season. Almost anything you can do at a Post Office, you can do online at usps.com.
