A 25-year-old Los Angeles man will be arraigned Tuesday after being charged with multiple counts of stalking "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest.
Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr. was charged with one felony count of stalking and two misdemeanor counts of attempted disobeying of a court order. Uzomah was recently convicted of assaulting one of Ryan Seacrest's bodyguards.
The criminal complaint alleges that Uzomah stalked Seacrest "on or between" Sept. 15 and last Friday, and that he attempted to disobey a court order.
Uzomah was arrested Friday at the E! building on Wilshire Boulevard where Seacrest tapes a daily TV show.
The same day, a Los Angeles judge granted Seacrest's request for a temporary stay-away order against the alleged stalker, directing Uzomah to stay at least 100 yards away from Seacrest, his home and his workplace.
Uzomah also allegedly appeared at radio station KIIS-FM in Burbank earlier this month looking for Seacrest.
Chidi was convicted of three misdemeanor counts last month after attacking a Seacrest security guard at a hospital in Orange County. He also pleaded guilty to three misdemeanors and was placed on three years probation, a condition of which was a requirement that he stay away from Seacrest.
A hearing is scheduled Nov. 17 on whether to extend the restraining order.
