A fatal crash involving a passenger vehicle caused early morning traffic detours on the southbound Ventura (101) Freeway.
The crash occurred around 3 a.m. Thursday just north of the Vineland Avenue exit in Studio City.
The driver of the Lexus sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
A SigAlert was in effect for more than three hours, with traffic from the 101 Freeway and 170 Freeway diverted. The SigAlert was cleared at about 6:30 a.m.
No information about the victim has been released.
