Fatal Crash Shuts Eastbound 60 Freeway in East LA: CHP

A person was killed after possibly being ejected from an overturned vehicle on the eastbound lanes of the 60 Freeway in East Los Angeles early Saturday.

The accident occurred at 4:40 a.m. just east of South Indiana Street, according to the California Highway Patrol online incident log.

All eastbound lanes of the freeway are closed until 9 a.m., according to a CHP Twitter account. Traffic was being diverted at Lorena Street.
