A call leads police to a gruesome scene inside a Covina home.
A father is accused of stabbing to death his own son at a Covina home.
A relative called Covina police Tuesday night to report 28-year-old Alex Trujillo was acting strange. When police arrived at his house, one officer spotted Trujillo through a window and he appeared to be stabbing himself.
Police kicked open the door and restrained him after a brief struggle.
Then they spotted his wounded son. The boy died after being rushed to a hospital.
Trujillo is being treated for his wounds and now faces murder charges.
He remains in custody. Bail is set at $1 million.
