Lexus Hit-and-Run Driver Crashes Into FedEx Office, Injuring One

The driver left the scene on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City with at least one other man in a Porsche

A man inside a FedEx business was hospitalized when the driver of a car slammed into the building early Wednesday in Studio City.

The hit-and-run crash was reported around 3 a.m. at the 24-hour FedEx office near Laurel Canyon and Ventura boulevards. Details about the victim's condition were not immediately available.

It was not clear whether he was an employee.

A witness said the driver of a white Lexus sedan appeared to be speeding when he struck a column in front of the office before crashing through the entrance off Ventura Boulevard.

"This white (car) was too fast, then tried to brake," said Wahyu Rijard. "It doesn't work. It was very fast. It hit the corner. Still going on. It hit that pole. Still going on."

Rijard said the driver did not appear to be seriously injured. Video showed the man leaving in another car with at least one other person, traveling west on Ventura Boulevard in a Porsche Panamera.

No arrests were reported Wednesday morning.
