Firefighters Find Body in Burned SUV in Mount Washington Area

A burned SUV in the Mount Washington area after the discovery of a body inside the vehicle.

Firefighters discovered a body Thursday morning after responding to a report of a burning sport utility vehicle in the Mount Washington area.
The body was found inside the Ford SUV, registered at a Highland Park address, at about 2 a.m. in the 4800 block of Marmion Way. LAPD detectives confirmed that the body was that of a male, but had no details regarding his identity.
The SUV was parked on the side of Marmion Way at the base of a hill. Marmion Way was closed for the investigation.
Gunshots were heard before the fire was reported, but authorities have not determined whether the two cases are connected.
