Firefighters Put Out Blaze in Pizza Oven Vent at Disneyland Resort Restaurant

Smoke was visible from the area, but the fire did not have any impact on park guests.

A fire erupted in the kitchen of a Disneyland Resort restaurant on Sunday, Anaheim police said.

Firefighters responded to the scene at the Paradise Pier Hotel at 1717 South Disneyland Drive just before noon and found a fire in a pizza oven's exhaust vent, according to Sgt. Daron Wyatt of the Anaheim Police Department.

Firefighters from Garden Grove and Anaheim Fire and Rescue extinguished the fire in 20 minutes.

The hotel evacuated some guests for precautionary reasons, but evacuations were not ordered by the fire department, officials said.

Smoke was visible from the area, but the fire did not have any impact on park guests, Wyatt said.

No injuries were reported.
