Firefighters Put Out Glendale Galleria Roof Fire

Firefighters responded to a fire Tuesday morning on the roof of a building at the Glendale Galleria.

Smoke and flames were reported in a venting system near the food court. The fire, reported at about 7 a.m., was extinguished, but crews remained on the roof about an hour later.

Details regarding a cause were not immediately available.

The Galleria (map), located across the street from the Glendale fire station off South Columbus Avenue, is scheduled to open at 10 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
