A fire ripped through an Eagle Rock home that was under construction Sunday, fire officials said.
The fire in the 5000 block of Argus Drive was reported at 3:35 p.m., Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Fifty-seven firefighters responded and knocked down the flames in 22 minutes, Humphrey said.
Arson investigators were looking into the cause of the fire.
LAFD Capt. Brian Stires said building materials may have played a role.
