Firefighters Battle Brush Fire in Palmdale

    Firefighters were trying to put out a hillside brush fire in Palmdale early Tuesday morning, fire officials said.

    The blaze was reported just before 3 a.m. near 47th Street and E. Barrel Springs Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

    Firefighters said the blaze had burned about 3 acres and began spreading uphill. Firefighters contained the fire before 6 a.m.

    At least one structure was damaged by the fire.

    No injuries were reported.
