Firefighters are in "mop up" mode after a brush fire began near an Orange County golf course on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire, which scorched 20 acres, was caused by a golf club striking a rock at the golf course, according to fire investigators and witnesses.
Forward progress of the fire had been stopped by 6 p.m., Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz said.
Crews will remain on scene for several hours to mop up the fire and ensure that there are no more flare-ups, Kurtz added.
The brush fire began Tuesday around 2:30 p.m. and had burned 20 acres by 4 p.m., according to fire officials.
At the height of the fire, the OCFA had resources on the ground and in the air with 140 firefighters on scene and three helicopters dropping water from overhead.
Kurtz described the fire as "slope driven." The fire was driven by the topography of the land, rather than the wind.

There were no injuries and no structures were destroyed or damaged during the fire.
