    Two firefighters were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries while responding to a fire in Jurupa Valley Tuesday afternoon.

    The blaze was located on Van Buren Boulevard at Jurupa Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

    It burned 40 acres and was 50 percent contained as of Tuesday night.

    A barn-type structure was burned by the fire, but no evacuations were ordered, fire authorities said.

    Riverside County sheriff's deputies closed Pedley Road between Jurupa Road and 54th Street while firefighters battled the blaze.
