First Lady Michelle Obama is in the Los Angeles area Thursday for a presidential campaign fundraiser and studio taping.

She'll head to the Calabasas 25,000-square-foot home of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith for a fundraiser that's being organized by a group of celebrity women.

Mrs. Obama is scheduled to make her remarks at 2:15 p.m. at the Smiths' 150-acre property in the Santa Monica Mountains overlooking Malibu.

She'll also be in Hollywood to tape an appearance of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that will air early Friday morning.

Will Smith posted on Facebook that the fundraiser was was sold out and had helped Mrs. Obama beat the fundraising record of a seated first lady.

Aerial video Thursday showed the massive home decked out for the event and a line of cars waiting to get inside.

U.S. Secret Service officials were not releasing schedule details of the visit, but said there would be no road closures.
